The 2008 formal season has drawn to a close but details of the regular activities will be updated for the new season starting around March 2009 when available. Last season's regular event details have been left below to give an idea of events for new members.

Junior Club Night - Sat 2-4pm - These are very popular sessions for junior members conducted enthusiastically by our own LTA qualified coach Douglas Gibson.

Junior Club Night - Fri 6-7:30pm - These are very popular sessions and continue for a while longer organised by Ian Hunter.

Junior Tennis Tayside & Junior Perth & District Teams - These are great opportunities to see how much the skills learned and practiced on club nights result in competition success. Contact Fiona Davies.

Parent & Child Coaching - Sat 11:30 to 1pm - A fun coaching session for your child, or children, covering basic theory, strokes, movement and co-ordination including fun games. Parents are given separate coaching covering basic theory, strokes, movement and co-ordination, including ground strokes, drives, volleys and service, in fact all the basics to enjoy playing tennis with your children and ensure they learn good habits and improve from an early age. The session is conducted by our own committee member and qualified LTA coach, Douglas Gibson.

Open Day - Sat 31 Aug 2008

As part of our Open Day to celebrate the formal opening of our new courts and the club's 75th anniversary we were both very pleased and honored that Judy Murray was able to join us to cut the ribbon across the entrance gate and the cake and best of all coach our juniors. The weather was good to us and allowed for a great day of tennis and catching up with present, future and past members. It was a particular pleasure to see some members from Perth and surrounding areas and some of our "older" members picking up a racket on court again, see if you can spot them in the picture gallery.

A very special thanks to Douglas Gibson for co-ordinating the tennis coaching, with Judy Murray, Jaki Stewart, Tennis Tayside and all the club helpers on court. Rosemary Price for organising and co-ordinating the buffet lunch and drinks, Ian Hunter co-ordinating court activities and keeping everyone notified and promoting the event and all members who contributed food for the buffet and helped on the day, making it a great success.

Have a look at some of the letters of congratulation from our guests. Congratulations

Quiz Night - Scone Old Parish Church Hall

Sat 23rd February 2008

Another great night was had by all. Over 90 guests arrived and netted the club over £600 from entrance, bar and raffle takings going towards improved club facilities, court maintenance and encouraging younger members in the local area to join and take part in tennis and club activities. Well done to Rosemary Price for organising the event, all the members who helped out and the very professional quiz master.

END OF SEASON DINNER - FRIDAY 26 OCTOBER 2007

The dinner at Duncan's Restaurant in George Street, Perth was a great success, the food and service were excellent and so was the choice of house wine. Thank you Rosemary Price for organising such a great venue and evening. Fiona, Douglas and Ian presented trophies to the lucky winners before we retired to the Bothy Bar for a night cap. Opening Day

Sunday 25th March 2007

The open day was a great success, perfect weather for tennis. The round robin style American Tournament ensured everyone had a chance to play. The sandwiches, cakes and wine proved just as popular as the tennis! Thanks to everyone who helped with the match organisation and those who brought food and drink.
